Moms and Babies are Literally My Specialty
After graduating school I was navigating the ins and outs of what it took to be successful in the office, but that just wasn’t enough of a challenge. In February, as we were moving offices I announced that I was pregnant. Obviously two months out of school might seem crazy to some people but to me it truly is the perfect timing.
I see patients everyday that are going through the same journey as I am. To be able to connect with them on a personal level has improved the way they respond to their treatment plans. They come in with pain and they leave with a smile. It’s incredible.
They often ask me what I do to not have any aches or pains and I simply say, everything I tell you or make you do in the office I do at home for myself as well. I would never give exercises or suggestions that I would not do for myself.
I have been blessed so far in my pregnancy but adding a bump to the mix has its own set of challenges. I recently have hit it on plenty of countertops not remembering that she’s in there. If you see me do this, just laugh with me because it happens often.
I also have to remember to switch sides while adjusting so I keep my pelvis balanced. This allows for the baby to have enough room to turn head down when the time comes. As much as I love treating mommas I have a hard time remembering that I am going to be one too. Labor is coming and I need to set myself up for success.
