Front Desk Executive

"What is it like working at the front desk?" That's a question I get from many family members and patients that walk into this office. I know they aren't wanting to know what my day to day activities are or specific tasks of the job. They are most likely asking what it is like to work in our office and in this unique environment. The cold hard truth is this is the best job I have ever had. I get to be at the front desk and interact with our many patients. Most of our patients come multiple times a week or at least once a week, which means I really get to know them; I know them by name and I recognize when I haven't seen them for a while or when an important event is coming up in their life. I also get to work with amazing doctors who truly care about their patients and have an over abundance of knowledge in… everything. 

I recently gave myself the very important title of Front Desk Executive because I mean business, mostly when it comes to making appointments. But that's as intense as I will get. It is hard to be stressed in this office, it's also hard to be mad or sad. We laugh a lot and then we get stuff done. If I need help at the front desk, I know I can count on anyone. This job can get hectic because of the volume this practice sees, but I really wouldn't trade it for anything, and I look forward to spending countless years here. So, when people ask me what it's like to work at the front desk, my usual answer is, FUN!
